The proceeds from the Oink and Oyster Roast are given to one or two of the most deserving
charitable causes annually. The recipient is selected by the club members
each year and can differ from year to year.
Each year it seems there is always a standout for the funds, whether it is answering the call from a
devastating fire, hurricane relief or local health clinic funding. The
First Flight Rotary Club prides itself on supporting the neediest causes and
giving the most possible to help. In previous years the proceeds have
been donated to Hurricane Isabel relief, The Food Pantry, The Lost Colony
wardrobe fund and the Community Care Clinic of Dare, just to name a few.
We are looking for ways to reach many other good causes and have a need to
expand both our sponsorships and our attendance.
Individuals can help by donating (tax-free) to the First Flight Rotary Club or by purchasing tickets
for our event. This is a big help, and the money buys you a great afternoon
of all-you-can-eat North Carolina barbecue and oysters
Once you have attended, you will likely make it an annual event.
You may also wish to expand your presence in the local community with a
sponsorship of the event. There are several different levels of
participation: $300 for a SILVER Sponsor; $500 for a
GOLD Sponsor; $1,000 for a PLATINUM Sponsor; and $5,000 for an EVENT Sponsor. There is a level for everyone, so get your good name out there with an annual sponsorship.
